Ive never understood the fascination with voices most people cant understand. I would understand like mentioned earlier in the thread if the company was Japanese and their fan base was mainly Japanese. the game isn't even released it japan so i just don't get understand i don't think the voices are bad its just they could have hired someone to say gibberish and i wouldn't have noticed a difference. Ive been to other countries that don't speak English and i get the same feeling about any VA i cant understand. Now dont take that as an insult to the Japanese people or language but if you don't understand a language it sounds like gibberish and you just kind of stand there dumbfounded Well, ahem. For people like me, we... We uhh... Uhh... Have this historical fascination... With those Eastern Barba- I mean those islanders. That has spanned centuries before mo- You know what, never mind.

i just googled flights to Tokyo and the first thing that came up was 1600-1800 dollars per from the closest international airport...maybe its cheaper where they are from idk but still just flying a couple people there seems like a huge expense in itself. Also full voice acting as someone stated somewhere binds you. makes it to where its super hard to add additional content which is where they are stuck right now after having to release a 2.0. I feel if youre short on cash partial VA to no VA was the better solution. tickets which can easily go over 1000 dollars, a place to stay, not to mention the actual salary of the people doing the va plus studios it just seems like something that could snowball fast. plus any changes would need to be voiced which seems like a situation they are in right now.

I like to think that the team is going to pull no punches and surprise us with v2.00, who knows we might see that Vaendryl and Samu community sound pack that we all really want. Maybe when our glorious overlord appears he will shed more light on the plans. Cera Gunboat on using Assault: "fire our shit.ogg" ?? It's already in MoA. Sunrider\game\sound\Voice folder Still taking suggestions for other lines /Drath runs and hides This is possible between me and a few friends of mine, and I can hand them the English lines and even feed them the Japanese lines because I can convert it. The only thing missing is asking my more experienced friend if he wants to do it/can do it, and me finding the time to be there and guide him through the Japanese part, as well as code it into the game. Since I'm going into VA and Game Design, it's better to build two portfolio pieces at once.

I have read the dev's "spoiler" message and his reasons make complete sense. None of that changes the fact that the voices are totally different in the last part of the game than they are in the rest of it. It's like watching a movie where the lead actor is Daniel Day Lewis for the first two thirds of the film and then suddenly for the last third Nick Cage takes over the lead role. You can tell me that Lewis was on another continent and hiring Cage who happens to be across town saved you a ton of money. But that does not change the fact that you've totally changed the tone and the feel of the movie with this new totally different actor. Same thing with the voice change here. And don't get me wrong, I am not complaining because I can't since to this point I have not spent a nickel on your game (which has been free so far). And I will not go back on my promise to pay for the last installment since I got some hours of amusement out of the beginning of the game. But it won't be the same game to me in many ways without the original voice actors. Which is too bad. Maybe if you did a patreon thing to raise the cash to get the old actors back I might contribute but as it is I must say that I am a little disappointed regardless of the reasons.

Samu-kun is right, the English voices are included in LD (latest version). Take note that ENG voices are only available in battle mode. While the JAP voices can be heard as always as the story goes on.
