From my understanding there were initially about 800 entries made so even after disqualifications (as some entries infringed copyright) there were still far too many to name in ratio of objects available so a lottery was used to include as many as possible. Those that were still quality submissions and were not used I believe are still been held onto possibly for future LiS games as naming can quite often be a stressful experience therefore the input can really help.
Now those that were selected varied in scale of inclusion with some having bigger cameos than others but at the end of the day this was mostly down to the luck when making the selections as not every submission can have a major role.
